Lactose intolerance is one of those problems that is most acutely felt by certain categories of people and requires a binding solution.
Lactose is a carbohydrate of animal origin (disaccharide) and one of the main components of milk. For this reason, it is the main nutrient in the first years of a child’s life. But in its original form, lactose cannot be absorbed by the body, its digestion requires a special enzyme — lactase. This natural catalyst is produced in the human small intestine and is needed for the hydrolysis of lactose, and subsequently for the formation of monosaccharides such as galactose and glucose (grape sugar).
